Moving

Wow.....I think it has finally started to sink in that we are moving. Not just moving across town, but really moving. Arizona seems like so far away, I mean I know it really isn't that far, but to me it seems that way. We are going to no man's land......well for us anyway. Dan has been down there before for AIT but that was nigh unto 10 years ago so a lot has changed since then. We have no family down there and right now, there's no one that we know down there. Seriously, no man's land. Seth is having a really big problem with it. He's very upset and slightly depressed. He'll be leaving most of his friends and cousins that he plays with on a regular basis. Any comfort that I've tried to give him has not worked. I know it's hard for him, it's going to be hard for all of us. I just feel really bad for him. But we are excited. Mostly for the change of pace and environment. Something new. Dan is really excited about the job and that makes me happy. So here's to a move and something new......cheers!

Indiana Jones

AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited about the upcoming Indiana Jones movie I can hardly stand myself. It looks ssssoooo good! Here's the first teaser trailer!

Castle Cake

I was granted the opportunity to do a birthday cake for a friend's daughter. They picked out a princess castle cake for her. It was the same basic idea as the cake I did for Seth, however a bit more girly. I feel really good about it and they liked it so I guess everyone was happy. Hope the birthday girl likes it too!

I was a lot of fun to make and not near as stressful as Seth's cake. Chalk it up to another good experience!

Evil Look

This is just too cute!! I got this from a friend (thanks Heather) and wanted to share it. The little baby in the video is just too cute and funny too!

That can't be comfortable.....

After doing dishes this afternoon I realized that the boys are were around, but I couldn't find Paige. After a few minutes of looking I realized she had crawled up on the chair and had fallen asleep. I just had to grab the camera. I couldn't believe that she fell asleep like that. It didn't look comfy at all. She was out though so I guess it's ok. Babies are so flexible and I've noticed that they can fall asleep anywhere in any position. Wish it was still that easy!

100th Day

Today was the 100th day of school for Seth. They had been preparing for this day all year by counting days and keeping calenders. It was very exciting. Each child was asked to bring 100 pieces of some sort of candy or something to pass out to everyone. It was a fun day. They also made 100 fruit loop necklaces and painted pictures. We are about 1/2 way through the school year. Hard to believe that we are already this far and Seth is doing so well in school. I'm so proud of him!!

Eclipse & Breaking Dawn

I FINALLY finished ECLIPSE. I waited what seemed like forever to read it. Not sure why really, but I did. Well I finally finished and was pretty upset at the way it ended. So upset that I threw the book to the other end of the couch from where I was sitting. FRUSTRATING! But I did just find out that book 4 will be released in August! I really hope it ties up some loose ends. Otherwise I will go mad I tell you! Simply mad! Yes, I know...I have serious issues.

Cheesecake

We are entirely too excited about cheesecake around here. Which is interesting because a long time ago I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Now I can't get enough of it. I guess being married to someone who prefers it over all other desserts had some influence on me. :)
Anyway...I get these recipes from various sites emailed to me on a regular basis. I got a new one from Kraft where I could create my very own cheesecake recipe. So of course I did it. Here is my creation!I'm excited to try it out. Maybe this weekend we'll have a cheesecake fest!!

Saying Good-bye

President Gordon B. Hinckley was laid to rest today in the Salt Lake City Cemetery following a funeral service at the Conference Center.

President Hinckley's casket arrived at the Conference Center from the Church Administration Building shortly before 11 a.m. A private family service took place before the processional began.

"The death of this wonderful leader brings to a close a chapter in church history spanning over 50 years," said Thomas S. Monson, who is in line to succeed President Hinckley as head of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

"The poet wrote, 'Here, and there, and now, and then God makes a giant among men.' President Hinckley was such a giant, a giant of knowledge, of faith, of love, of testimony, of compassion, of vision. I cannot adequately Express How much I miss him," President Monson said.

Daughter Virginia H. Pearce said, "Disciplined and courageous, with an unbelievable capacity for work, he believed in growth."

Next week, the church will dedicated its 125th temple, in Rexburg, Idaho, one of more than 75 built under President Hinckley's directon.

"President Hinckley was about miracles," a senior bishop, H. David Burton, said as he spoke about temples and other milestones.

President Boyd K. Packer, former acting president of The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and President Henry B. Eyring, former second counselor in the First Presidency, also spoke.

"I have regarded this power of communication and charm of President Hinckley as simply as brotherly love and humility," President Packer said.

President Eyring said when he and President Monson visited President Hinckley a few days before his death, President Hinckley asked how they were doing. "I gave a simple answer, 'Fine.' I only wish I had answered better than ever and I know the best is yet to come because I was blessed to live when I could hear your voice and learn from your example," President Eyring said. ~KSL.COM

I was able to watch the funeral today. It was beautiful. It's the end of a wonderful era. He will be greatly missed. But oh! I can imagine the welcome home he received. I know where he is and I know he is very happy. We will miss you President Hinckley! Thank you for being a wonderful example to our family and everyone around the world! We love you!!
