3-2-1 Blast Off

I caught Paige singing while playing with her ponies today. She loves watching Noggin and Jack's Big Music Show is one of her favorites. This song was sung by the Laurie Berkner Band on that show and Paige just loves singing it.

I loved this book growing up and it has fast become a favorite to my kids. Here's the link to WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE a new live action movie opening October 16. I couldn't get it to embed on here, but the link will take you to IMDb's site where you can watch it. I'm so stoked about it!!!

Painting Rocks

Seth friend came over today. He's been begging for her to come for a play date so today was finally the day. We have a rainy day book that we got for Christmas. Seth has been working on a cardboard castle from it, but they found something else that they wanted to do. So they decided to get the paint out and find rocks in the back yard and paint them. Nothing better than being outside painting rocks. I mean it's not like we are in short supply of them! Looks like they were having a great time!!!!

Today I took Keegan and Paige to the doctor for checkups. I'm a little behind with Paige. Better late than never I guess. Keegan also had to get seen for his school check up. Both got shots. Paige only got 1 and cried for just a second. She did really well. I was very proud of her, but the big story is Keegan's shot experience. That's right....he got 5 shots. All in his arms. I thought for sure the needle was going to go right through his skinny little arms. He cried for a little while but did very well. I was super proud of both of them!!! We got slurpees and little debbie donuts afterwards and that seemed to make everyone happy!! Paige is in the 90th percentile for height and weight and Keegan is in the 75th percentile. They aren't babies anymore!! :O(

Home Depot

This morning we went to Home Depot. Apparently they have a free kids craft day the first Saturday of each month. Today they were doing a little hardware box that you could give dad for Father's day or just keep. Really fun. The boys got an apron and a pin that shows the craft they got to make. So now every time we go, they wear their apron and they'll get a new pin to put on it. They really had fun so I think we'll make this a regular thing. It's only for ages 5-12 so Paige wasn't able to participate this time around. It was totally worth going this morning. Check your local Home Depot to see if they are participating. Ours wasn't that busy and the boys got some one and one help. Loved it!!!

Last night we had some friends over for dinner and a game night. It was fun. The kids all enjoyed it and we adults chatted the night away. Thanks for coming over and sharing an evening with us!!!!!

Seth took this picture.

those are ribs, not steaks, and oh yeah....they were good!

playing Disney Scene It. Fun!!!

she crashed as soon as her jammies were on and she had her cup!

Seth and I ended the night watching ICE ROAD TRUCKERS, then he promptly fell asleep.

Last day of school

School is over for another year. I can't believe it's done. Seems like it just started. Seth had a fun time and really enjoyed the school experience at his new school this year. I must say I really like the idea of charter schools, especially since the city school system has cut all funding for PE, music, art and sports. So far our school has not made such cuts so we are grateful.

When school starts again, Keegan will be a kindergartner. I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

Seth's class lining up to leave.
