The boys have a science experiment book and they decided that they wanted to make a volcano-it wasn't as spectacular as they thought it'd be, but fun none-the-less.

Halloween at school (10-31-12)
At school the kids are allowed to wear halloween costumes as long as they are based on literary characters. I can't even begin to tell you how many Harry Potter characters there were at school. We decided to think a little outside of the box and went with more obscure characters. Well at least characters that might not be at the top of everyone's minds.
Here's what we came up with: Keegan was Greg Heffly (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Seth was Seth (main character from Fablehaven series), and Paige was Fancy Nancy although to me she looked more like little orphan Annie.
I was really surprised that there weren't more duplicates of Paige's and Keegan's costumes. I pretty much figured that no one would have heard of Fablehaven. I was right. Seth's teacher had heard of it, barely, but never read it. It was a nice break from the uniforms and the kids enjoyed "dressing up".
Next year maybe we'll combine costumes and make them all literary characters for tricks or treats too.

EQ Pumpkin carving (10-27-12)
Time for the annual pumpkin carving at the church. We grabbed our pumpkins and decided on designs. The older 3 each had a pumpkin and knew exactly what they wanted. Of course Paige had ballet rehearsal so she was gone for half of it, but still had plenty of time to carve hers when she got there. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad with all the changes in the ward that this was still part of the books. Kids always enjoy it and it's fun to be with our ward family!

New bone (10-22-21)
Angus found one of Zuko's old bones that had been buried in the back yard. He has been non-stop chewing. I'm sure there will be nothing left by the time he's done with it. And the best part of it all is that the bone is the same size he is! Watching him carry it around is hilarious!!!
MWR Halloween Fun (oct 20, 2012)
Ft. Huachuca was having Halloween activities and so we decided to take a ride onto post and go have some fun. There were many activities including a haunted hay ride. We didn't get a chance to do the hay ride (bummer) but everything else was fun and the kids were all worn out by the time we got home. Our friends, the Grahams came too. We also saw several other friends from school and church there. A great time to get into the spirit of Halloween!
