Thanksgiving 2011

Our Thanksgiving was spent with friends this year. Their dad is deployed also so it was us "single" moms. She also had her mother in law and uncle visiting so it was a full house. The kids had fun playing and completely wore themselves out! It was a fun day with good food and good friends.

Miss my family tons though. I'm ready to be closer to spend some holidays with them. But until then, I am grateful for good friends who are just as dear as family.

Saying Goodbye

We have some really good friends.....gonna miss them. Uncle Sam decided it was time for them to move on so they have to go. The kids have become good friends (they got to see each other every day at school and at church on Sunday's). Amy has become such a good friend. I'm gonna miss her tons! But we have technology and so we won't be very far away!!

11 Months!!!

I know I have said this all along but holy cow, I CAN NOT believe it's been 11 months since this little girl joined our family. This has been the longest year and the shortest all at the same time (as if that makes any sense to anyone but me). She's growing up way to fast for her own good (or mine for that matter).
Milestones this month are:
*standing up all the time with the help of whatever is closest. Not walking yet, but i'm ok with that!
*eating regular food most of the time. She's been sick and teething this month off and on, so she hasn't been eating real well.
*weighs 25.5 pounds.....lost some weight, but i blame sickness and teething for her lack of appetite.
*even now, still has the sweetest disposition!
*has added achoo to her vocabulary! (funny story-in relief society last sunday a gal sneezed across the room and without missing a beat bronwyn said "achoo"! love it!!)

She is a constant delight to our family and brings us such joy!!

Only 1 more month until her birthday! I have to admit i've been planning it for a while now. But to have it right around the corner is just beyond me. Ahhh....and to think that now only 3 more months until Dan comes home and they can start to spend some serious quality time together!

she's pulling herself up on everything now. still has no interest in walking though. guess she'll be my latest one to walk. that's ok though, i'm not ready for her to not be a baby.

i had set my laptop down to go grab a drink and she proceeded to start typing. even pulled up the email screen. silly girl!!!

Halloween 2011

We had a good Halloween this year. Kids got to wear their costumes to school (there's a first for everything). Since there was no trunk or treat this year we decided on going trick or treating in the neighborhood. We haven't really done it in a few years so we were looking forward to it. We also found out about some trick or treating at the mall so we also went there. We hit up all the stores and the kids got a bunch of candy. Then we came home and went around the block and got gobs more. Too bad Bronwyn was so sick and did not have fun, but she was so cute! They all were. I love watching the kids live out their favorite characters for one night. We then came home and tuned in to the Ghosthunters Live halloween show. We watch it every year. It was a good night!!
