Today is Keegan's 7th birthday! I can't believe my little boy is 7!! He had a great day (at least that's what he's told me so we are going to go with it!)!
The day started out with a requested breakfast of bacon, egg and cheese biscuits and hashbrowns, then off to the bus. Paige, Bronwyn and I joined him later for lunch and then for cupcakes that I went to pick up (too bad I couldn't make them and bring them, mine would have been WAY better). He chose Spiderman as his "theme" this year so the cupcakes were vanilla and chocolate with red and blue frosting and spiderman rings on them. His birthday cake was also spiderman themed. After lunch, since it was a half day at school, we came home and relaxed a bit. He got to open his presents and then we headed to Target for him to get one last present with the money mema and papa sent him (thank you!). Then it was off to Peter Piper for pizza and games. He was able to rangle enough tickets that he got a green bouncy ball. Pretty snazzy prize. I think the guy upped the amount of tickets he got so he could get that particular prize.
He's one special guy and we are all so thankful that he's part of our family. We would be very boring otherwise! He brings such laughter and joy to our lives. He's always smiling and just a very happy kid! We missed dad among all our festivities but he was able to skype with Keegan tonight for a bit and I think that was the icing on the cake!!

Ballet
Paige started ballet last night. It's through the community center and I figured if she liked it well enough and wanted to stick with it, we'd do this for a couple of months and then in the fall i'd put her in something more permanent. As luck would have it, she LOVED it!!! Absolutely. She's been telling everyone for the past month that the day before her brother's birthday she would start ballet. I thought that maybe that fire would lose it's luster once class began (I've heard interesting things about the teacher) but it didn't happen. She was just as excited at the end of it as she was at the beginning. I'm really happy too! She was so cute and I was very proud of her. She followed instructions and did everything the teacher wanted. She's very excited about what next weeks class will bring!!

Moving
No not us......Paige's friend Emma is moving. Paige is upset about it. The army is taking Emma's family to a new duty station. We got to watch Emma and her brother last Monday so mom could watch the movers without too many distractions and this way too they wouldn't be overly bored with all their toys being packed. I think the kids had a fun time. Paige is sure gonna miss her friend!! She's already asked when she can have another play date! We will be able to skype and they can write letters so hopefully their friendship will last!

Girls Night Out
My friend Christina and her family are moving to Ft. Lewis, Washington in the next couple of weeks and so we gathered the girls together for a fun night out. Summer and I took Christina for pedicures and then the rest of the group met up at Olive Garden for a fabulous dinner. We were loud and took up half the room we were in and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. The best part was that Summer and I were able to keep the rest of the group a big secret. Christina had no idea. It was awesome! I have pretty toes now and a very full belly. It was a fabulous evening. We are especially bummed about this move because Christina's daughter Emma, is Paige's best friend. They will be sorely missed!!

Great big brother
Seth is a fabulous big brother to Bronwyn. If for some reason she's crying and I can't get to her right away he'll jump up and get her or talk to her and she'll stop crying. She recognizes his voice and has from the beginning. I think it all stems back from when I was pregnant and he would talk to my belly. She loves her big brother too!
These were taken the other night when he was laying next to her and they were playing.

Playing on a Monday
Back to school for the boys means back to the daily grind for the rest of us. I know the boys were ready to go back to school and I was ready for them to get back into their groove!
Here's a couple of pictures of Bronwyn just spending time on her blanket talking and playing! She's just starting to hold onto things now so she's actually going to start enjoying some of the toys she got for Christmas.

Desert Museum
We were able to head up to the Desert Museum up in Tucson as part of our spring break festivities. We went with some friends (trips like this are always better with friends). The kids had a great time! Seth even got car sick on the ride up there. In fact, the last time we went I was the one holding my head out the window in hopes that I wouldn't puke in the car. But he was fine as soon as we made it to our destination.
It was nice and warm but not ridiculously hot (thank goodness). Some of the animals were out and there were tons of people. I think everyone had a great time! I really enjoyed it. Even Bronwyn had fun. Well as much fun as you can at 3 months old! After the museum we went to cici's pizza for a late lunch/early dinner and ate until we couldn't eat any more (there goes my diet). I haven't had CiCi's pizza in MANY years. It was really good. I highly recommend the mac n cheese pizza! Fab.u.lous!
Here are some of the pictures from our fabulous day!!
The downside to our day was the drive home. We had to take the scenic route. Driving to Tucson is painful enough, but the long way home we took was torture. I swear I lost a year of my life on that road. We saw an accident on the way up that had traffic backed up for over 6 miles. I was positive it would have been cleaned up by the time we were to head home (we left at 9am and we didn't head home until after 5pm). Well my friend called from the road saying that the highway was still closed and that I would need to take an alternate route or risk sitting in traffic all night. That was NOT appetizing to me at all so we took the scenic route. Took us 2 hours to get home.....and we were out in the middle of no where. Ug....oh well. Got a real pretty view of the moon, and the kids were terribly patient so that was a HUGE relief. They watched a movie and just let the world pass them by. By the time we got home at 730p we were all tired of being in the truck and ready to relax. It was a wonderful day (I even got sunburned) and probably the highlight of our spring break.
