2010 Ward Memorial Day Picnic

Today was our annual Memorial Day picnic. Loads of fun. There were water games set up for the kids and a ton of food. I think everything got eaten. From the look of everyone that attended I'd say that it was a good day!!

Preschool Party

We finally made it to our last day of preschool. It was my turn and as a group we decided on some sort of party. So since we had a pool and a slip n slide I thought a swim party would be fun. Too bad that our pool wasn't in working order so it turned out to be just a slip n slide party. I think the kids had a great time and we had hot dogs and chips for lunch. Fun all around. So now we are done until September.

Keegan lost another tooth today. He was eating an apple and out it came! We didn't even realize it was that loose. Very excited for the tooth fairy to make yet another appearance tonight!

Slippin and a slidin

Mema and Papa surprised us with a nifty slip 'n' slide. I haven't seen one of these in years. Didn't even know they made them anymore. So this morning Dan decided to set it up. Figured today was a good day and we did it this morning before it got so blistering hot (supposed to be mid 90's today-what happened to spring???) So out it came and the kids had a great time! It took a while for the to figure out exactly how to "slide" on it, but they still had a great time! Thanks mema and papa for the great toy!!

Last Day of School

Last day of school! I can hardly believe that's it's already here. Boy are we glad for it though. I think we are all about done with school for a while! I for one, am looking forward to sleeping in. No more getting up at the crack of dawn to get the boys on the bus.

The last quarter awards assembly was held the day before and being the great mom that I am, wrote the wrong time down and completely missed it. Ug.....pregnancy brain.... anyway, have to brag on my boy, he got the award for Academic Excellence for Writing and Language Arts for his grade. Awesome!!!! I'm so proud!!! Also on his report card his lowest grade for this quarter was a 94!! WAHOO!!
This was his teacher this year. Ms. Zimpelman. It was her first year teaching and I think she did a great job! She was very open with communicating with me and Seth really enjoyed having her as a teacher! Now on to 3rd grade!!!

Kinder Graduation

Today was kindergarten graduation. What a fun thing for the kids to take part in!! With only a few technical difficulties it went quite well. There was a slide show and the kids sang the national anthem (yes I teared up a bit, but then again I always do during the anthem, then diplomas were handed out and then cake was eaten. Mrs Beaman (the other kinder teacher) even made an announcement not to bring the kids back to school for the last 2 days. They were done and the teachers didn't want to see them anymore! haha!! I don't think I've seen Mrs. Blades (Keegan's teacher) smile so big since Christmas Break!! It was very touching to see all the kids and all their hard work put into the program. I'll have to add a video that just won't add right now. It's a song they sang to the tune of New York, New York. Very cute and very well done. I can't believe he's not in kindergarten anymore. This school year has flown by!!!

Mrs. Blades asked if I would do the cake. 2 full size sheets cakes...now I remember why I don't like doing full size cakes.....what a pain to transport, plus they were really heavy!

only 2 other parents volunteered to help with decorations. I think they did a bang up job!
Everything looked great!

too bad I didn't get the memo that he could have worn something other than his uniform, I would have had him looking snazzy!! oh well, he's still a handsome guy!
