Bath time for dad's truck

For the most part, the washing of cars is pointless in southern AZ. It's so dusty this time of year that once it's washed it gets all dirty again in less than 5 minutes. But Dan felt his truck needed a good soak down so he and 2 out of the 4 kiddies went to town. Keegan had homework to do and Brownyn was playing inside. They had fun washing it so I guess the fact that it was dirty a day later is beside the point.

Cochise College Science Day Field Trip

One of the great things about Dan having all this time off is that he's able to go with us on field trips. This was the first one he's been able to attend and I'm really glad. I think Seth was too. The 4th graders were able to head up to Cochise College for their Science Day. I thought it was going to be a bunch of science fair type projects but I was wrong. (Boy am I glad too....) The school had set up a ton of stations and the kids were grouped and were able to attend a variety of classes. It was a lot of fun. Our group was able to go inside a portable planetarium, see a sheep's brain and eat brain chocolate (chocolate in a brain mold...not really as gross as it sounds), and build rockets. The kids had a ton of fun and I'm glad we were able to be there!

Going to the Ballet

K-3 graders were able to attend the Tucson Ballet's performance of Thumbellina. It was a fun field trip and both Keegan and Paige had a great time! They even got to dress up for the trip!
