First games June 15 (keegan), June 22 (paige), 2013

First games of the season went well. Both played hard and worked hard. They did well and there was much cheering going on. We all even got some sun. Not too bad.  They both enjoyed it too, which is a plus since it was a billion degrees outside even at 8/830am. That is way to early to be that hot. Ug.....
Proud of both of stars!

Keegan's team (the Skylanders) is wearing the red shirts and Keegan is #11

Paige's team (the Cheetahs) is wearing the blue shirts- Paige is #2

first practices - June 4 (paige) and June 7 (keegan), 2013

We signed the kids up for summer sports to keep them busy. Didn't want to waste the whole summer playing video games!  Seth's team ended up not having enough players on it so his group was canceled. Of course at that point sign ups were over so there was no where else for him to go. He wasn't too upset about that. Oh well.......Keegan however, got flag football and Paige was signed up for Soccer.  Both are eager for it all to begin. These are from their first practices. Both were super tired by the time they came home. Practices 2X a week and they both practice on Tuesday nights. Luckily Dan is helping out with Keegan's team so I take Paige and he deals with the football. They've been able to make some new friends and have enjoyed it so far. We'll see if it lasts through the season!!

Last Day of School - May 24, 2013

Kids were allowed to forgo the uniforms for the last week of school. They were very excited about that. Best last week ever!!   It's been a really good year. We got lucky with some great teachers. I hope we are equally as lucky next year. Oh and did I mention that it's official......We now have a middle schooler?????? WHAT????   Even though the school they attend is K-8, the middle school is separate from the rest of the grades. He'll be doing everything the same as a traditional public middle school. I'm not sure I'm ready for a teenager in the house.

 Seth wish Ms. Service
Keegan with Ms. Tabler (we got lucky-Seth had her in 3rd grade too!)
 Paige with Ms. Henderson
they really were excited about it being the last day.

4th quarter awards ceremony - May 22, 2013

Last quarter awards ceremony. Kids did great. Keegan missed honor roll by a few points. Still very proud of all their hard work this year.

Seth received a science award and honor roll

the 5th graders performed a song about the 50 states. Seth was less than thrilled to be singing, let alone singing in front of the school and various parents.

11 year old Scout Hike- May 18, 2013

Seth had to get up super early the day of Paige's recital for his hike. He was less than thrilled at having to get up so early, but in the end, he had a great time. I'm glad he was able to participate.
