Church History Museum Field Trip with Keegan's Class (April 22, 2014)

I was able to go with Keegan and his class to the Church History Museum downtown. It was really fun. We walked from the school to the bus stop and then took the bus to the trax station where we rode the rest of the way. I think the kids had a blast riding public transit into downtown. Beats riding a school bus for sure!We went to the museum because the 4th graders are learning about Utah Pioneers. We didn't talk about anything specific to the church, just pioneers in general. I think everyone had a good time.

love this stained glass. It's one of the first things you see when you enter the building.

the string tied around the wagon wheel helped tell mileage. Every time the wheel turned they had gone a certain distance.

After the church history museum we went over to the observation level at the Church Office Building. Great views of the valley.
