beach days 3 & 4

horray! we finally get to see the ocean. it took everything we had to keep the kids still long enough to get sunscreen on them (which was pointless since we all still got sunburned). it was a beautiful day and the ocean was perfect. there was a rip current so we didn't go out far, but it was glorious! i could seriously live here full time. *sigh* we swam and napped and played until we were exhausted. it was a perfect day!!

Bronwyn has started sitting up. still a little shaky, but she's getting awfully close!

nothing better than ice cream and sitting in rocking chairs after a day on the beach!

Friday since we were all recovering from sunburns we headed down to Beaufort to the Maritime Museum to see some of the things collected off the Queen Anne's Revenge (for those not in the know, that's Blackbeards ship that sank of the coast of NC). Then we walked across the street to watch boats actually getting built. Then off to Ft. Macon. Lots of history all crammed into one day. We came back to the camper tired! But it was a fun day so I can't complain.

these are replicas of what they think the QAR looked like

uncle joe arrived and paige didn't leave him alone until the day we left.
